Project Accountant Summary

The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of complex lighting projects.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, tracking, and execution of lighting and control projects from initiation through completion.
  • Monitor project milestones, deadlines, deliverables, and overall progress to support timely project completion.
  • Communicate with construction teams, clients, manufacturers, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate product approvals, material storage, delivery requirements, and project schedules.
  • Track purchase orders, product availability, shipping schedules, deliveries, and project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate project information using Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and other project management systems.
  • Prepare and maintain submittal packages, change orders, closeout documents, delivery records, and project status reports.
  • Review project documents, orders, specifications, and material information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure project records and documentation remain organized, current, and accessible.
  • Periodically visit construction sites and warehouse locations to monitor materials, verify delivery status, and address logistical concerns.

 Education, Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree
  • The ideal candidate must have strong time management, problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and utilize these skills in a demanding, multi-tasking environment.
  • Must have the ability to liaise with clients and cross-functional departments in the aggressive resolution of problems to drive timely payments for products and services rendered.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook)
  • Proficient with Teams and Smartsheet
  • Familiar with construction-based ERP software such as Sage 100, Acumatica, or similar.
  • Familiar with Quantum, Textura and/or similar
  • Strong quantitative and analytical math skills
  • Proactive and concise written and oral communications skills.
